About the Research Project

Kalinga University’s Zoology Department invites applications for field interns to study the Breeding Ecology of Asian Openbill Stork and Black-headed Ibis across diverse landscapes in Chhattisgarh. This immersive field research offers hands-on experience in avian behavioral studies and conservation ecology.

Internship Details

  • Field Commitment: Full-time residence at sampling locations near Raipur
  • Financial Support:
    • All field expenses covered (lodging, food, local travel)
    • Stipend based on qualifications and prior experience
  • Research Focus:
    • Nesting behavior monitoring
    • Habitat utilization patterns
    • Breeding success assessment

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Educational background in Zoology, Wildlife Biology, Ecology, or related fields
  • Field research experience preferred (not mandatory)
  • Physical fitness for sustained field work in varied terrain
  • Strong observation and data recording skills
